Ink stained bristles know not their creation
When the mind of the artist is truly disturbed
Only the coldest hues had been pressed
Deep into the canvas
The image in the shape of a woman
String like hair matted against an emaciated frame
A face sunken hollow, frozen in contempt
The rags she wears torn to shreds
Providing her little warmth from her attic dwelling
It seems she stares at you as if knowing she was created to be an unsalvageable monstrosity of the human form. Captivated you lean in to inspect the immaculate details of her bone structure. Greater and greater detail pulls you within an intimate distance. Only to feel her breathing coldly on your lips.
You can't pull back now, you've gone too far
The price to admire suffering is paid in full
